Restaurant Sales Rep Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - FeedNet is a start-up on a mission to take decision making out of the process of getting something to eat. We?ve built a complete end-to-end online food ordering platform that will revolutionize the way people order food online, and are growing our team.
The Restaurant Sales Rep role is a unique opportunity to help introduce this revolutionary and innovative new online food ordering platform to the public. The role involves handling important aspects of the restaurant relationship management lifecycle from closing new restaurant partners to building and maintaining long-term relationships with loyal restaurateurs. The role requires a unique combination of sales ability, rapport building skills, organization and creativity. This is a rigorous role in a new sector of a new business, and you will collaborate across multiple disciplines to provide critical support on key sales and marketing initiatives that allow us to scale.
Responsibilities
Sales: Leverage prospecting skills and relationships to get the city's best restaurants interested in FeedNet. You'll spend the majority of each day connecting with restaurants over the phone and via email, being the face of our brand to restaurants.
Negotiation and Deal Making: Lead contract negotiations aimed at establishing the foundation of a meaningful working relationship with our restaurant partners, including sustainable economics for both parties.
Relationships: Strengthen and maintain relationships, develop trust and loyalty with restaurant owners
Training & Support: Ensure restaurants know how to use our system and resolve any major account issues
Be the local market expert: gather restaurant feedback, monitor competitor activity, and provide recommendations for improvements to management
Supervise Restaurant Onboarding: Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations of our menu data entry and photography team. Ensure all photography aligns with FeedNet?s standards and that menu information is correct.
Process Scaling: Help design processes, whether it be prospecting, onboarding, account management, etc. in such a way that they fuel, rather than act as a bottleneck, on growth.
Collecting and Acting on Feedback. Create processes and account management tools to stay in close communication with restaurant partners and incorporate feedback into process improvements on the ground.
Requirements
A friendly, likable, and professional demeanor that doesn't take no for an answer
A desire to sign up tons of local restaurants: you excel at signing new business
A customer service orientation and experience developing meaningful partnerships
2 years of Sales experience, experience in a goal-oriented role
Experience working with (or selling to) restaurant owners is a major plus. Restaurant experience is also a plus.
Comfortable making outbound dials on the phone
Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt a generalist mindset
Strong communication skills ? verbal and written
Experience creating and optimizing processes
Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through deep analytical thinking
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google products) with the ability to quickly learn new software. Experience with or similar CRM a plus.
Passion and aptitude for working in a fast-paced and fast-growing environment
Bachelor?s degree in business, marketing, or related area a big plus
