Kasita is looking for an Accountant who is looking for an opportunity to take the next step in their career. Someone who is interested in gaining exposure to a variety of areas of accounting and be a part of creating new processes and procedures as the company is growing. The Accountant will be responsible for Accounts Payable, account reconciliations, maintaining QuickBooks, and monthly inventory counts. They?ll work directly with the Controller and CFO.
Responsibilities:
Process invoice payments and maintain AP register
Categorize accounting entries in QuickBooks
Assist with inventory count and reconciliation from MRPeasy to QuickBooks
Setup and maintain fixed asset register with monthly depreciation
Reconcile expense reports from Expensify system to Amex statements and Quickbooks
Formalize monthly financial close process by preparing account reconciliations, recording journal entries and analyzing budget to actual financials
Assist with account clean-up and establishing new processes and procedures
Requirements:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
2 - 4 years professional accounting experience with a top public accounting firm, mid-to-large size company or startup
Strong understanding of US GAAP concepts including the fundamentals of accrual based accounting and reconciliations
Strong time-management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to change
Attention to detail, thoroughness, highly organized
Inquisitive; natural problem solver
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or MRPeasy preferred
Familiarity with manufacturing industry preferred
