Account Manager / Sales Job Opening in Auburn, Washington - POSITION TITLE: Cabinet, Closet, Door & Millwork Sales Rep
Sales position supporting custom interiors company (Cabinets, Closets, Door & Millwork, etc.) for a positive, driven candidate interested in company growth and motivation to capture additional market share. The ideal candidate will possess a high energy level, outgoing personality and be results oriented, with demonstrated success in sales. (Experience in the building industry or contracting is a plus).
Sales Representative Job Duties:
Services existing accounts assigned, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales customers and leads
Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of customer and job needs.
Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers.
Creates quotes and writes up orders by referring to price lists, product literature, and obtaining quotes from inside support staff or current vendors.
Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily and weekly sales reports, monthly and annual territory analyses.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 or more years of successful outside commission based sales experience
Knowledge of building materials, hand tools, ability to read floor plans, measure job sites and capture necessary details to ensure complete and accurate orders.
Existing network of clients or potential customers in King & Pierce Counties across multiple sectors, including contractors, builders, home remodelers, insurance restoration contractors, owner builders and others.
Skilled at cold calling and securing sales from individual and business accounts.
Capable of seeking out and participating in local networking events
Identifies prospects, customers, and referral sources, while developing and maintaining excellent relationships
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
Ability to close jobs and meet sales goals.
Must be highly organized and self-motivated
Positive, confident and energetic attitude
Ability to work well with others, additional sales staff and inside office employees.
Knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel
