Clinic Manager Job Opening in Seattle, Washington - Our specialty clinic is currently seeking an experienced Medical Clinic Manager. Applicants must have a professional demeanor and be flexible, reliable, hardworking, and patient focused. The Manager plans, organizes, directs and controls all clinic and facilities management activities to achieve established goals and objectives of the clinic to ensure a smooth and efficient operation and delivery of patient care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Recruit, interview, and hire employees. Evaluate employees? job performance and compliance to expectations. Recommend appropriate personnel action as needed.
Design, implement and evaluate staff training and development programs, customer service initiatives, and performance measures.
Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
Purchasing and maintenance of clinical/office equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, copiers/printers, furniture, scanners, medical equipment, signage.
Ordering Supplies and Managing Expenses: Shop for, negotiate and recommend suppliers for all levels of office operations (including but not limited to: medical consumables, office supplies, business insurance, malpractice insurance), also perform basic bookkeeping, tracking office inventory and monitoring clinic budget.
Compliance with all local, state and federal laws and guidelines including, but not limited to: OSHA, ADA, EOE, FMLA, CLIA, COLA JCAHO, FACTA, HIPAA, STARK I, II&III.
Performance of accounting functions, including but not limited to payment of bills, produce payroll, prepare compensation schedules for physicians, prepare budget and monthly variance reports, make deposits reconcile bank statements, reconcile merchant accounts, prepare profit and loss statements, prepare refunds to payers and patients.
Ability to perform revenue cycle management functions related to insurance eligibility, , claim submission, appeal of denials, management patient balances, negotiation of payer contracts, all aspects of credentialing, Run monthly reports for physician production, aged accounts receivable, net collection percentage and cost collections per RVU. Ensure appropriate codes of claims for e-prescribing and PQRI.
Skilled in developing and maintaining professional relationships with staff, patients, clinic vendors, peers and contracted organizations.
Marketing, including but not limited to: Introducing physicians and new services to the community. Recommend sponsorship of appropriate charities and events in the community. Recommend sponsorship of patient support groups, and arrange and organize appropriate promotional and educational events/talks for the physicians. Track referral sources. Recommend appropriate ads, email, website, or other social media. Recommend or prepare other media marketing opportunities.
Strategic planning, including but not limited to: Preparation of ROI and pro forma for new services. Discuss 5 year plans for capital expenditures including ancillary services, recruitment of personnel, and replacement equipment. Help explore outsourcing office functions; and find technology that can make the practice more efficient or productive. Ensure fiscal responsibility as it pertains to supplies, meds, other professional services, staffing, and overtime.
Attend continuing education sessions via face-to-face conferences, webinars, and online classes. Maintain membership in professional organizations. Network with community and dermatology colleagues.
Education: A Bachelor?s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field is preferred, but applicable work experience may be substituted.
Required Experience: Minimum two years of Medical Office Management is preferred. Proven record of strong managerial skills managing for Physicians and/or upper level Executives and their staff; experience in healthcare a plus, either clinical or administrative. Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgement, decision making and problem solving expertise. Working knowledge of medical billing and regulatory requirements, credentialing, reimbursement and A/R analysis.
