Plant Accounting Manager Job Opening in Sycamore, Ohio - Accounting Manager
Creative Plastic Concepts, a rapidly growing plastic injection molding company, is looking for an accounting manager. This position will report to the CFO and support all accounting, financial, and plant functions. Primary responsibilities include supervision of AP,AR, and payroll staff, assisting with closing and budgeting process, enforcement and implementation of internal controls, cost accounting and standard cost build.
Essential Functions:
· Review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts supporting the monthly close process and month end balances
· Coordinate accounting activity and monthly closing to result in timely and valid financial statements
· Cash flow management, daily cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliation
· Coordinate and validate historical information and future assumptions for budget and forecast purposes.
· Preparation of semi-monthly payroll
· Coordinate and record investments made in Funds, securities, overnight funds, etc.
· Review of expenses incurred on behalf of multiple entities such as software (MRI) costs, accounting services, analytical services, etc.
· Oversee the accounting for fixed asset records
· Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls
· Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory and taxing authorities
· Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Prerequisites:
Education:
· Bachelor degree in Accounting required. MBA or CPA is preferred.
Experience:
· 5+ years experience in accounting for manufacturing operations.
· 4+ years experience managing accountants and the accounting and finance process.
· 3+ years in a position equivalent to an accounting manager or higher responsibilities
Skills:
· Credibility, ethical, full disclosure and clean financial history
· Confidential, understands the ethical standards of a CPA
· Strong cost accounting ability
· Ability to handle payroll including the mental conflicts that are associated with this responsibility
· Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
· Accountable for specific performance
· Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
· Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same
· Good GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
· Exceptional work ethic
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Ability to manage people in a team environment providing leadership and assistance to motivate, challenge, and optimize the department?s contribution to the company?s successful operation
Hardware/Software:
Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, and MRP systems

· Able to analyze, organize, summarize and articulate complex legal and financial information
· Good command of the English language and be able to proofread work
· Able to read and interpret agreements, then implement the relevant provisions of these agreements

· Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
· Task and goal oriented and capable of functioning in an entrepreneurial and corporate setting
