About Daystar: Daystar for Medically Fragile Children is New York State?s only Pediatric Day-Respite Center specifically designed to meet the comprehensive needs of infants and young children with special healthcare and developmental needs. Daystar gives children the chance to learn, explore, and socialize in an encouraging learning environment among children who are facing similar healthcare challenges. Daystar is an independent, charitable 501 (c) 3 organization and operates weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Daystar is an equal opportunity employer.
: Qualified candidates must possess the following:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and a valid NYS registered nursing license required.
2 years nursing experience preferred, with concentration in pediatrics and/or acute care.
Applicants must be highly organized, possess excellent written and verbal communication and case management skills, and demonstrate proficiency in documenting and accessing electronic patient records, and case management notes.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate competency in working with diverse caseloads, with varying levels of acuity.
Specialized clinical experience and skills may be required.
