Senior Accountant Job Opening in Bryan, Texas - Responsible for performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes, assisting Controller with applicable tasks pertaining to period close and SOX compliance.***
Performs balance sheet and income statement reviews, including trend and variance analysis.* *
Conducts balance sheet account reconciliations. Ensure any reconciling issues are identified and corrected in a timely manner.* *
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare supporting schedules for journal entries.* *
Prepares SOX compliance documentation and/or schedules, including Quarterly Walkthroughs for Controller Review.* *
Assist the Controller in supporting Operations Group through financial reporting, analysis and special projects.* *
Ensures compliance with other internal policies and procedures.* *
Looks for opportunities to improve existing accounting practices.* *
Conduct other analysis and tasks as required.* *
Supports audit activities for internal and external audits.* *
Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environmental requirements.*
Qualifications
B.S. in Accounting
Strong MS Office Background. Advanced Excel skills.
At least 5 years of progressive relevant experience.
Experience using ERP systems. Syteline and Hyperion Experience Preferred.
