Territory Sales Manager Job Opening in New Orleans, Louisiana - American Capital Assurance Corp. (?AmCap Insurance®?), an A.M. Best ?A- Excellent? rated commercial property insurance company, is seeking a Louisiana Sales Manager to join our growing company.
SUMMARY:
Achieve profitable growth through effective management of Agency force within an assigned territory which could include multiple states. Develop and implement established sales and marketing policies and objectives in accordance with corporate strategies, goals and objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively seek and appoint qualified professional agents
Prepare and distribute agency appointment materials (Agency Profiles, Contracts, etc)
Monitor personal and agency growth/retention
Increase Agency base, applications submissions and book transfers where needed
Analyze business trends of agent?s submissions
Recognize business opportunities, train staff on products, technology and procedures
Act as liaison between Agency and company (Underwriting, Claims)
Develop and implement established company policies, goals and objectives in accordance with corporate strategies
Be proficient in all company products, systems, filings, commission schedules and procedures
Conduct agency visits in assigned territories to increase producers understanding of company?s products systems and claim practices, pricing methodology and underwriting philosophies
Develop relationships with Agency staff and principals in assigned territory
Negotiate and establish business plan to enhance agency production (when appropriate)
Provide support to agents by assisting with customer accounts, facilitating resolution of account statement discrepancies and offering other technical and administrative expertise
Effectively monitor agents performance (production, types and quality of submitted accounts, premium growth, loss ratio, submission activity, hit ratio, etc)
Terminate agency relationship when necessary (or recommend to supervisor)
Assist in the development, assessment and distribution of promotional materials
Provide on-going assessment of current products and services and proposed products and services competitiveness, and makes recommendations for enhancements
Communicate accurate competitor information
Conduct ongoing market analysis, including competitor positioning, changes in legal issues, and regulatory guidelines. Recommends coverage, pricing and workflow enhancements. Compiles information relating to rate reviews, and proposes recommendations to senior staff.
Maintain Agency meeting notes, records, trends, profiles
Attend industry tradeshows to promote company and products
Maintain good understanding of company produced reports to clearly relay information to assigned agents
Develop a positive working relationship with strong rapport with the AmCap team. Works with team to exceed customer and producer expectations for service. Manages and intervenes on service issues and other producer or customer concerns.
Assume additional responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree and/or equivalent work experience
Three to Five years? experience in a similar insurance industry position

Self-motivated, analytical, goal oriented and committed to service
Excellent presentation and computer skills are required
Valid driver?s license and acceptable driving record
Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint & Microsoft Word
