CPC Coding Specialist & Auditor Job Opening in Boise, Idaho - A Certified Professional Coder is responsible for abstracting, coding, and sequencing the classification medical diagnosis and any surgical procedures and treatment modalities on patient records to maximize DRGs/CMGs. S/He is also responsible for reviewing and auditing charges in accordance with current principles of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines. The auditor piece would have performance of internal quality assessment reviews on physicians and/or ASC coding to ensure compliance with national coding guidelines regularly. S/He would also provide physician and team education based on findings and trends to ensure minimal variation between multiple physicians.
Required Criteria:
CPC and or CCS-P with a minimum of 1 year coding experience
Preferred Criteria:
Specialist Office Experience.
Hospital Based physician outpatient clinic coding.
Ability to assign, sequence and validate all CPT/ICD10, HCPCS codes with appropriate modifier usage.
