Advertising Sales Consultant Job Opening in Rockville, Maryland - Mid-Atlantic Media, publisher of Washington Jewish Week, Consumer's Eye Magazine & Smart Shopper Magazine is seeking an Advertising Sales Consultant to join our sales team. The sales candidate will have additional opportunities to bundle packages selling into Mid-Atlantic Media's other publications: Baltimore Jewish Times, Baltimore Child & Baltimore Style Magazine. Under the direction of the Director of Sales, the Sales Consultant will: Maximize advertising revenue generation by selling to print and digital focused advertising prospects. Must be a sales "hunter" and aggressively manage New Business Development opportunities with key prospects and existing accounts. This includes seeking out and developing strategic relationships with decision makers and working directly with clients and their ad agencies to develop customized media programs to suit their specific needs. Managing a quota, setting goals and working with management and marketing to strategize on new business opportunities. Will work directly with clients on high volume face to face calls. Proactively communicates account and sales information to management through one on one meetings. Through use of its exceptional resources and brand strength, the sales consultant will prospect for new accounts to achieve local direct, digital, and non-traditional revenue streams. This position offers a competitive base salary along with uncapped commissions that can add up to $50k and beyond in annual compensation based upon reaching targeted goals. Required Qualifications: 2+ years media or outside sales experience, Skilled at initiating, managing and growing long-term and mutually profitable business relationships. Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel and CRM methods. Presentation skills, excellent written and oral skills, typing and work in team environment.
