Accountant: Compliance Job Opening in Wright City, Missouri - P3 Recruiting has partnered with a St. Louis based company search of an Accountant to assist with day to day operations within the finance department. The ideal candidate for this full time position must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and enjoy working with multiple functional groups.
As part of the Shared Services Team, the candidate will be responsible for:
Compliance with various stare tax filings and incentives, insurance certifications, bedding licenses, Sarbanes Oxley and vendor agreements.
This position will also oversee regulatory compliance for our products.
Activities include, but are not limited to: Filing sales/use tax returns, filing property tax returns, maintaining the corporate tax calendar to ensure timely filings in all areas , registering for new bedding licenses and renewing existing bedding licenses, maintaining a log of and renewing insurance certificates, gathering information and filing for various state incentives, auditing to ensure compliance with regulations, applying to our industry (CARB, Prop 65, CPSIA), maintaining corporate
