YWCA Program Manager I Housing Services SIS Job Opening in seattle, Washington - YWCA Program Manager I Housing Services SIS REPORTS TO: Associate Director, Seattle Housing Services LOCATION: Spruce (Epstein Building) DESCRIPTION: The mission of the YWCA of SeattleKing CountySnohomish County is to advance the quality of life for women of all ages, races and faiths, and their families. The Seattle Region practices this mission by valuing and championing anti-racism programs. The Program Manager I, Seattle Housing Services Operations, manages the operations of the YWCA?s Seattle Housing Services Department including intake, transitional and permanent housing services. This position supervises direct service staff in cooperation with the Associate Director, Seattle Housing Services. RESPONSIBILITIES Housing Program Operations ? Coaches and supports staff with tracking and reporting requirements. ? Serves as liaison for agency with other service providers, clients, associations and the community including landlords, social service agencies and all other partners ? Oversees client interview, selection and termination process for Seattle transitional and permanent housing programs ? Conducts bi-annual inspections of all YWCA housing properties to ensure units are maintained in a safe and hazard free manor and in compliance with stakeholders ? Manages financial accounts and related reporting in cooperation with the Specialized and Integrated Services fiscal accountant and accounting specialist ? Maintains program statistics and provides accurate and timely reports to funding sources ? Responsible for maintaining good working relationships with all stakeholders ? Responsible for tax credit reporting and assuring program compliance (including real time completion of the WBARs database system) ? Responsible for program data integrity in both the agency database (ClientTrack) and Safe Harbors HMIS database, and other necessary data base systems related to programs and funding. ? Show demonstrated ability to interact with people of different cultures. ? Continuing search for understanding of racial, gender and class equity. ? Adhere to all Volunteer Services protocol relative to volunteer usage, recognition and monitoring. Work alongside volunteers, where applicable ? Assure that volunteers are treated with respect and dignity regardless of race, ethnic background, gender or socioeconomic background ? Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES ? Minimum two years exp. and bachelor?s degree or direct social service experience working with low-income and/or homeless families or domestic violence survivors. Or any combination of skills and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform this job effectively ? Two years financial and/or statistics reporting experience ? Experience with compliance and property management reporting ? Direct work experience with transitional housing programs, permanent affordable housing and/or other residential programs ? Knowledge of and strong commitment to diversity ? Knowledge and experience with low-income resources in the Seattle Metro/ South King County area ? Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team ? Experience and commitment to working with homeless families ? Knowledge of and commitment to working with issues surrounding domestic violence ? Candidate must be able to travel independently between multiple work sites within a day ? Must be fluent with all Office applications including WORD and EXCEL. ? Core competencies expected: oral and written communication, organizational understanding, , coaching, and specialized knowledge DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS ? Knowledge of and experience as a service provider with any of the following: cultural diversity issues, crisis intervention, victims of domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse, mental health, welfare rights, case management, sexual assault, employment services, child development and/or positive parenting skills ? Knowledge of services available in Seattle/King County for low-income families and survivors of domestic violence HOURS, RATE, BENEFITS ? Full-time, 40 hours per week ? Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Classification: Exempt ? Participates in rotating, on-call managerial support in case of emergencies and may work weekends, evenings and holidays ? As a condition of employment, the YWCA requires all employees hired on or after July, 1 2009 to make a 5% contribution into a 403(b) plan sponsored by the YWCA until they are eligible for the YWCA Retirement Plan. Once an employee is eligible (typically after two years) for the YWCA Retirement Plan, that individual is no longer required to participate in the 403B plan, but is required to participate in the YWCA Retirement Plan at a reduced pay rate of 5%. This reduction in pay coupled with a local YWCA and National YWCA match reaffirms the YWCA?s commitment to the long-term self sufficiency of our staff and is a benefit for YWCA employees. It is important to note; however, the 5% reduced pay rate will lead to a reduction in pay, but, will never reduce wages below the minimum wage required by the State of Washington. This new pay rate will be the basis of any future YWCA salary adjustments. If you have worked in a YWCA agency previously and qualified for YWCA retirement, your deducted wages along with YWCA contributions will immediately be transferred to the YWCA retirement.
