Software Engineer Position
The ideal candidate will be mission-driven to create user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java and Salesforce Apex based components and interfaces and assist with the execution of applications, infrastructure and processes. You will roll up your sleeves to tackle the impossible and possess the drive to make it happen/get it done. In the future, we will bring big-data analytics and machine-learning techniques to improve treatment success rates. Responsibilities
Define development objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality for a digitally focused start-up company
Design and develop user interfaces to internet/intranet and mobile applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tools; designing and conducting tests
Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives
Complete application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
Build scalable, resilient software solutions with i18n awareness
Interact and partner with team members in order to achieve maximum results
Implement continuous improvement processes for operational excellence
Assist with maintaining data security and governance processes
Qualifications
4-7 years of experience in leading data and technical deliveries including: analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying and supporting of data warehouse applications.
Deep working knowledge of Java and Java development environments. Knowledge of Salesforce Apex a plus
Deep working knowledge of data management platforms, relational or graph databases, SQL stored procedures, statistics and mathematics
Ability to partner across the organization and influence others to achieve goals
Must be self-directed, detail oriented and resourceful
Must be adept in Agile techniques such as Scrum
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related area of study
