National Sales Manager Job Opening in Seattle, Washington - Roles and Responsibilities
Development and execution of strategic sales plans in each channel identified as a priority, starting with natural and conventional grocery channels, and expanding into regional C-stores, mass merchandisers, warehouse clubs, chain drug, airport and snack foodservice based on evaluations of opportunity done in collaboration with management
Leadership on sales and promotion planning, sales forecasts, budgeting and inventory management in collaboration with CEO, CMO, CFO
Strategic and tactical management of U.S. and Canadian distributors, retail chains and retail buying associations in natural and conventional grocery channels, mass merchandisers, warehouse clubs and chain drug; airport and snack foodservice a plus C-stores.
Securing, preparing and conducting buyer headquarters appointments
Direction and management of national and regional brokerage organizations
Identifying needs for additional sales staff, consistent with business volumes; identifying, interviewing and recruitment of new sales staff
Planning and managing retail store level execution, reporting, diagnostics, troubleshooting and voids correction
Analysis and management reporting of sales performance, with comparisons to plans
Trade spend and deductions management
Experience Level
10+ years experience, expertise and relationships relevant to the roles and responsibilities
Compensation
Base salary commensurate with experience and demonstrated track record
Sales milestone incentives based on mutually agreed targets
Participation in equity compensation plan
