Accounting Associate Job Opening in Owego, New york - Weitsman Family of Companies , the East Coast's largest privately held scrap metal processor, is currently looking for an Accounting Associate . Candidate must enjoy fast paced, busy, multitasking work environment. Weitsman Companies is looking for an ambitious full time Accounting Associate to join our accounting department at our Owego, NY location. Weitsman Companies is a family owned business with multiple entities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily entering of sales invoices and checks issued for remote locations
Work closely with internal AR manager and assist in the accounting of our overall AR
Special projects and ad hoc reporting as requested.
Reviewing and actively monitoring AR for Smaller division of our Company
Candidate must have:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience and familiarity with GL postings and reconciliations of GL Accounts
Strong attention to detail
Strong reconciling skills
Organizational skills
Experience With PeachTree and/or Quickbooks Software
EXCELLENT Microsoft office (especially Excel) Skills Education and Experience:
Position requires a minimum of at least TWO years of similar accounting experience.
Associates Degree in Accounting is a plus
