Sales Manager - Industry Reports Job Opening in Arlington, Virginia - BioInformatics LLC , SDi, and Instrument Business Outlook produce some of the highest regarded insights and aggregated industry news in the life science and analytical instrument sectors. We need a connector to get our products into the hands of industry executives who make key decisions based on our portfolio of syndicated reports. Knowledge of laboratory science and life science is extremely valuable to be able to translate the value in our reports to product managers in our space. Our Sales Manager - Industry Reports will work closely with our Vice President, Marketing and work with our sales and marketing teams to identify customers who would value our product, connect with those identified executives, and present our solutions that fit their businesses. Our high power clients span the globe and expect expedited assistance but the candidate will be able to service their needs from our HQ in Arlington Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
Contact prospects and clients via telephone, email and social media to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
Provide timely follow-up to prospects and clients.
Consistently meet and exceed goals, including individual monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance goals.
Maintain and update prospect/client information, including relevant contact information, correspondence, inquiries, etc. in the BioInformatics? CRM.
Proactively identify opportunities to engage clients in new report sales opportunities.
Required Qualifications & Attributes:
A desire to connect with, and help, life science companies with their objectives.
An interest in science and the business of science and demonstrated intellectual curiosity with ability and willingness to learn complex subject matter quickly.
Possesses strong business ''instincts" with the ability to understand key business challenges facing senior executives and the ability to effectively articulate BioInformatics? value proposition.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience using Word and Excel to organize information and customer data.
A service oriented, do whatever it takes personality and a desire to play a key role in growing a highly respected firm in the Life Sciences industry.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of BioInformatics business and value proposition and the ability to effectively articulate it internally and especially to prospects and clients.
Exceptional record of achievement in a relevant revenue role (sales, account management, etc.)
Highly competitive with ability to manage high growth expectations.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor?s degree from a top tier University (public or private) with a minimum 2.75 GPA in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related Science field
*Minimum Experience:
0 - 2 years of full-time telesales or inside sales experience or a demonstrated track record of previous leadership and competitive interests (sports, competition, etc.).
