Bookkeeper/Administrative Support Job Opening in Salem, Virginia - Blue Ridge Dental Group is looking for a full time Bookkeeper/ Administrative Support person. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Tag and monitor fixed assets
Pay invoices in a timely manner
Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices
Pay any debt as it comes due for payment
Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
Remit sales taxes to the government
Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
Maintain the petty cash fund
Prepare internal financial metrics tracking
Code bank and credit card statements for the external accountant who creates the company?s financial statements
Be with Quickbooks
Assemble information for external auditorsfor the annual audit
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
Support payroll and benefit tracking and processing
Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Support daily operational processes as needed
Be answering phones in times of overflow
Support customer service with patient data intake when needed
Be competent with computers, scanning, and securely transferring and archiving documents
A minimum three years' experience is preferred.
