Job Description
Manage and oversee an IT delivery team, comprised of direct reports with managerial responsibility, as well as functional, technical & project management expertise.
Advance and develop our IT capabilities and delivery models, to enable digital services and solutions, within a rapidly changing part of the automotive & Heavy Equipment supply chains.
Establish and maintain Business-IT engagement and governance, including interfacing with customers.
In close alignment with rest of IT management team and functions, establish and execute an IT strategy, which advances our global capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for applications delivery management providing robust & stable production systems including EDI, used by the global business users and customers.
Oversee systems portfolio, across a diverse range of technology platforms, including but not limited to Web, Databases, EDI, Web Services, Mobile, Cloud & Business Intelligence.
Own executive level communication and interactions including consulting, understanding and translating business needs into achievable, sustainable and innovative technical solutions and capability roadmaps.
Partner with business and IT management teams in, planning and executing dynamic business IT strategies and Business Plan.
People management including career planning, mentoring, performance and hiring.
Responsible for the budget, ensuring high business satisfaction, while balancing investments and maintenance costs.
Partnering with cross-functional teams to sharpen our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and transitioning to digital ? platforms, services and delivery model.
Enabler of digital platforms & services ? demonstrating tangible links of digital technology adoption to business effectiveness e.g. IoT, SaaS/PaaS, Mobility, Analytics, etc.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or relevant experience.
15+ years total IT Applications Delivery experience, delivering robust, user-centric enterprise applications.
8 + years of IT leadership and people management experience, with the ability to manage multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
This position requires an individual who is a strong thought leader, great people leader and excellent communicator. Above all the person is expected to be an excellent collaborator across multiple business stakeholders, customers, vendor partners, and team members.
Preferred experience in Logistics & Supply Chain solutions e.g. Compound/yard management, Management, etc.
Experience and knowledge in SDLC and technical platforms - for Web applications, EDI, Mobility & Data Analytics.
Proven ability to oversee and provide direction on complex technology projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information, in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences along with highly effective presentation skills.
Domestic and International travel required, approximately 20%.
