Rehab Specialist/ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) Job Opening in Kalispell, Montana - At Kalispell Regional Healthcare, our mission is to improve the health, comfort, and life of those we serve. We are looking for a highly motivated ATP to run our hospital owned DME rehab department. Qualified individuals will work with our referrals sources to provide the needed rehab equipment to the community of Kalispell and surrounding areas. You will work with a rehab assistant as well as a billing specialist to ensure equipment is provided timely and all billing requirements are met to ensure payment. This position will part of the leadership team of Kalispell Medical Equipment. Applicants should be comfortable meeting with and making recommendations to providers for needed equipment.
Qualifications:
1. Current RESNA/ATS (Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology Society of America) Certification required.
2. Must possess knowledge of third party payer policies and reimbursement schedules.
3. Specific training related to mobility products and adaptive equipment and devices to include, but not limited to; manual wheelchairs, power chairs, stair lifts, patient lift devices and specialty walkers required.
4. Must have the ability to obtain continuing education specific to the operation and maintenance of manufacturer supplied products.
5. Must have the ability to obtain and/or maintain specialty certifications as required by current industry standards.
6. Knowledge of wheelchair classifications, groups and an understanding of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, with respect to mobility devices preferred.
7. Possess strong organizational skills. Ability to adapt to changes and frequent interruptions. 8. Must possess strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively, both on the telephone and in person.
