Cost Accountant Job Opening in East Earl, Pennsylvania - Reporting to our Operations Controls Team, this highly visible position allows you to understand, articulate, and impact the cost of manufacturing across all operations of the company. This position plays an integral role in providing key data to our senior management team through the keen interpretation of data that is gathered by and for this position and then articulated to all levels of decision makers within our organization. The position is responsible for quoting products, gathering data, maintaining of standard cost system, issuing reports, and working on special projects as required. The position also assists in the communication and understanding of operation's performance.
What We Ask of the Candidate:
Requires a bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance; CMA/CPA/MBA a plus but not required
3+ Years of experience in Cost Accounting; manufacturing environment experience desired
Excellent analytical skills
Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel; MS Access a plus
Knowledgeable and familiar with IBM AS/400 system, preferred
Possess a solid of how various cost components react when there are changes in production volumes, assist in identifying fixed, variable and step function costs.
Capable of working independently without close supervision
Desire to mentor other more junior analysts as the position progresses
