Allured Business Media is a small b-to-b publisher looking for an Accounting Specialist to handle the day to day accounts payable/accounts receivable functions.

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Carol Stream team. The right candidate would do both accounts payable and accounts receivable and be a vital part of our accounting team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Audit invoices and expense reports in preparation for accounts payable data entry.
Data entry and reconciliation of payables.
Weekly reporting and selection of AP voucher packages for signing.
Mail and distribute checks.
File paid invoices.
Clear checks.
Handle vendor inquires.
Prepare 1099?s.
Apply and balance cash receipts in multiple systems.
Prepare daily deposit and cash sheet.
Maintain and balance accounts receivable spreadsheet.
Invoice customers.
Create annual billing calendar.
Handle customer inquiries.
Perform collections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
3 years? experience in both accounts payable and receivables.
Excellent math skills.
Extremely detail oriented.
Enjoys working with numbers.
Ability to learn quickly.
Multi-tasker that is very organized.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Knowledge of accounting systems, Excel, Word and Google mail.
