- Construction Job Opening in austin, Texas - - Construction Due to great opportunities, The George D. Alan Company is currently looking for waterproofers and caulkers to join our firm. Experienced preferred but not required. All potential employees must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing as well as a physical. Standard hours are from 6:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. with a 1 hour break for lunch. Standard requirements are: ? Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986. ? At least 18 years old ? Valid driver's license, truck, and excellent driving record ? Able to lift up to 70 pounds repetitively ? Construction experience required, preferably commercial construction ? Ability to work off elevated platforms, ladders, or mechanical lifts ? Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop often ? Well groomed and physically fit ? Available to work shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime (can not guarantee returning to home each night if out of town or able to leave job site at a particular time) ? Ability to follow written or verbal instructions regarding company policies or job duties ? Ability to pass a drug test and background check ? No felony convictions ? Must be courteous and respectful to other employees, vendors and customers Experienced will be required to: Be able to work safely and unsupervised on a continual basis. Be familiar with standard trade practices. Be able to coordinate his/her daily work. Be dependable Possess potential leadership skills Experienced will also have all tools listed below before starting work.
