Server-Side Software Engineer Job Opening in Austin, Texas - Game Server Engineer
PLAY STUDIOS is seeking a Game Server Engineer to join the server development team in Austin. This role focuses on creating and improving server-side game logic.

The Game Server Engineer will work directly with business stakeholders to define features, Project Managers to scope and schedule deliverables, and QA Testers to achieve high quality products.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain server-side game-logic using C# and for our suite of online social games.
Design and implement RESTful HTTP APIs using C# and Web API.
Work directly with client engineers, designers, artists, and producers to deliver high quality products.
Work with project manager to break down high-level goals into task and timelines.
Requirements:
Current knowledge of C# 5.0 and 4.5.2.
Thorough understanding of HTTP technologies and REST/JSON interfaces.
Sound grasp of RESTful design principles.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Proven ability to build high quality products.
BS or MS in Computer Science or similar.
Candidates should possess at least three of the following:
Game development experience with shipped titles.
Development experience using Web API 2.
Experience architecting highly scalable backend systems.
Experience developing and maintaining servers that support multiple mobile client applications.
Experience using both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Bonus:
Experience using the Facebook API.
Python development experience.
CouchDB experience.
Familiarity with agile development processes.
