Part-Time Bookkeeper Job Opening in Scottsdale, Arizona - Avery Lane is a Fine Consignment, Antiquities & Art showroom in Scottsdale. We specialize in high end designer furnishings, rare and unique antiquities, collectible art and one-of-a-kind quirky home accessories that make a home special. Our clientele is very discerning and sophisticated, but wildly fun, interesting and passionately loyal. We pride ourselves in being the go-to resource for many of the valley's best Interior Designers and Builders. Avery Lane is the premiere consignment shop in Scottsdale having been in operation over five years and receiving numerous "Best Of" Awards and recognition.
We are a small family-owned and operated business where the team has fun, lots of laughs, camaraderie and the spirit of accomplishment and friendship. We run our business with a great deal of attention to detail, high ethics and sophisticated well-organized paperwork and reports. We love organization and this position requires a person who thrives in this environment. Must be a self starter and independent worker. The CEO/Owner is very busy and needs a take charge person to help her manage the financial side of Avery Lane.
Seeking a professional and experienced BOOKKEEPER to help the owner run the business efficiently and cohesively.
Minimum 10 years experience as a hands-on, bookkeeper in a small business.
Prefer candidates who have Retail Experience
Prefer those with a high level of writing skills and positive customer service demeanor
Financial Reporting to CEO/Owner, Company CPA and maintain government documents
Monthly P/L's, Monthly Balance Sheet
Monthly Sales Tax Reports to City & State
Payroll coordination with Payroll processing company - Post Bi-Weekly Payroll Info
Maintain government documentation - W-9's , Retail Tax Certificates
Reconcile Monthly Bank Statements & Credit Card Statements
Accounts Payable
Prepare Monthly Vendor & Consignor Reports & Checks;
Maintain vendor/consignor transaction history
Accounts Receivable
Audit Cash Drawer daily, Prepare Bank Statements, Reconcile Merchant Processing
Transaction Reports
401K Profit Sharing Plan
Maintain 401K records and interface with 401K Administrator
Problem solve consignor issues on a daily issue via polite phone calls or well constructed emails
Computer Software Proficiency :
QuickBooks
ConsignPro (Retail Consignment Software)
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher)
Professional appearance and wardrobe is essential . No visible tattoos, gages or extensive piercings. Avery Lane is a NON-Smoking environment.
Schedule : Tuesday-Friday 9/10 am to 5:00/6:00 pm (flexibility)
Goal of 30 hour work week for the right candidate - possibility to grow to full time.
Compensation based on Experience: $28,000 - 35,000 ($17-$22 per hour )
Bonuses based on sales success
Health Insurance available after 90 days (with minimum 30 hour work week)
401K plan available after 90 days
Hope to hire by mid-August with 3 week training period to shadow current bookkeeper who is retiring this Fall.
