Radiology Systems Analyst Job Opening in Anchorage, Alaska - Reporting to the Director of IT, this position is responsible for assisting with implementing, monitoring, and maintaining day-to-day operations of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Radiology Information System (RIS), Radiology Voice Recognition Dictation System, and any other systems to be used in the diagnosis of radiology studies.
Position expectations and responsibilities:
Expected to have knowledge of client/server and Graphical User Interface (GUI) concepts and tools, PC-based middleware tools
Prefer to also have knowledge of HL7, DICOM and all healthcare integration standards associated with digital imaging.
Expected to have proficiency at disaster avoidance and recovery.
Expected to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Operating Systems, and DICOM integration devices.
Expected to have some basic understanding of networking.
Expected to provide maintenance of users and user profiles.
Expected to monitor the integrations and a list of study-related items between the various IT systems.
Expected to be assist in the day-to-day technical administration of the PACS, RIS, Radiology Voice Recognition Dictation System, and all other IT systems used in the day to day activities of the imaging centers.
Expected to diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot technical issues and to resolve problems.
Expected to provide system training as required.
Expected to act as a liaison between management of Radiology, the Radiologist group, customer users, and vendors.
Expected to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
May be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) which may include evenings, weekends or holidays.
Essential Qualifications:
Education: Associates Degree in Computer Science or related computer field. Prefer a Bachelor?s degree from four year college or university OR
Experience: Two years of experience with medium to large scale PACS and RIS in the capacity of PACS administrator.
Other Qualifications: Must be able to demonstrate good customer service skills; do multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; and work flexible shifts.
Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position
English Language: Must be able to read, write and speak English.
