Inside Sales Representative Job Opening in Columbus, Ohio - We are working with one our nations oldest and largest companies that processes and distributes metals, with operations around the world looking for a Inside Sales Representative for their Columbus OH sales team.
This is a transactional and relational position that works with internal and external customers in the sales function.
*Responsibilities include the following:
Daily interaction with diverse customer base (large and small).
*Maximizes the opportunity to build relationships with previously assigned or new customers through response to requests for quotation, material needs, technical inquiries, and product solutions with the goal of winning business and maximizing profitability.
Responsible for full cycle of customer orders from creation through delivery, communicating and resolving any deviations from what has been promised.
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal and external partners, including but not limited to account managers, credit center, inventory managers and an extensive vendor network.
Drive new sales growth through outcalls to unsold and undersold accounts.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Associates degree or combined education/work experience equivalent.
Ability to read Blue Prints/Drawings - you will not be considered without this skill set
Prior sales or industry experience preferred.
Excellent professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
Strong math skills including conversions, Algebra and Geometry; mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read prints
Proficiency within Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) required; experience within CRM tools (i.e. ) and SAP, AS400 or BlueZone operating platforms beneficial
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
