Accountant / Full Charge Bookkeeper Job Opening in Sherman Oaks, California - A small, family owned business which manages a hotel and several real-estate ventures is looking for a full-time Accountant or Bookkeeper that will fit into their small company culture, who is willing to work hard both independently and with others.
Responsibilities:
Record daily sales, pay bills, and process payroll
Prepare month-end journal entries and accurate monthly financial statements with minimal review and assistance from owner
Prepare other financial reports and analysis
Prepare 1099's, LA City business licenses, and sales tax returns.
Assist others in the office as needed
Document processes
Requirements:
Good working knowledge of both QuickBooks and Sage software
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in accounting or finance or 5+ years of experience
Understand proper accounting and bookkeeping workflow
Cloud computing experience a plus
Hospitality industry experience a plus
Skills & Abilities:
Self motivated
Must be able to meet deadlines while providing a quality work product.
Attention to detail
Quick learner
Ability to problem solve
Tech Savy!! - Ability to quickly learn new software, software add-on, and apps.
Must be a positive person
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
