Junior Accountant Job Opening in South San Francisco, California - Junior Accountant (South San Francisco)
Linkage Biosciences is a molecular diagnostics company recently acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific.
We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill an accounting role. Qualified candidates will be eager to be a part of a fast growing, life sciences business and be proactive problem solvers who have a strong attention to detail and a friendly and pleasant demeanor. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must have a thorough working knowledge of the General Ledger, from journal entry to analysis
Must be able to maintain and control the G/â??L accounts and business transactions by applying and conforming to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, (GAAP)
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Record and analyze transactions in a timely manner to facilitate the closing process
Accounts Receivable duties including:
Daily posting of receipts to the A/R module
Communicate with our sales managers or our Swiss office manager to minimize overdues
Research and respond to customer inquiries on outstanding balances
Accounts Payable duties including:
Daily invoice processing
Communicate with customers or our Swiss sub to clarify billing issues
Check runs and bank communications
Bank Reconciliations, and the Journal Entries to support the transactions
Prepare, analyze and record T&E expense reimbursements, and make appropriate Journal Entries
Interact with our Parent Company to request or provide needed information

Education & Other Technical Skills:
Bachelor's degree preferred, relevant experience required
QB experience preferred, Enterprise version is a benefit
Strong Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to summarize and present information effectively
