Sales / Admissions Representative Welding School Job Opening in Allentown, Pennsylvania - Welder Training & Testing Institute is hiring a full-time Sales / Admissions Representative who will serve as a resource for potential welding students during the admissions and enrollment process, provide oversight of student activity and performance, and assist with placement upon completion. Associate?s degree, Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. Having a technical background or welding experience is preferred. An ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and should be familiar with the skilled trades and feel comfortable promoting the welding field as an option for potential students. Energetic individuals with good computer and organizational skills should apply.
Responsibilities include:
travel to secondary schools, college, and career fairs to provide information about welding education to potential students and answer questions about WTTI
schedule and conduct school tours
manage and facilitate the school application and enrollment processes while preserving confidentiality of materials
maintain familiarity with educational funding sources
maintain regular contact with student body after enrollment
monitor student progress and provide guidance during the educational process
assist students during resume development and review job prospects
maintain contact with employers who are seeking to hire graduates
contribute to the creation of promotional literature for the school
perform typing, word processing, as well as, access, input, and retrieve information from student management database
work within an administrative team to manage student activity
collaborate with instructional faculty on student progress, as well as, facilities organization and operation
perform other duties as assigned
The position is year round, Monday through Friday, with the usual work hours of 8:00am-4:30pm. However, the school operates until 9pm daily, and there will be situations throughout the month where work hours will flex in order to provide proper oversight of student activities.
WTTI is accredited by ACCSC and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Cogent Clearance Fingerprinting) required.
