Manufacturing Sales Coordinator Job Opening in York, Pennsylvania - York Saw & Knife Company, a closely held, family owned manufacturer of custom knives and saws in business for over 100 years, has a full-time Sales Coordinator position available. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM.
Operating from a 65,000 square foot facility north of York, PA, the Company employs approximately sixty skilled workers and support staff. York Saw is recognized as a leader of innovative design and a manufacturer of precision band saw blades, circular saw blades and specialty machine knives, proudly serving multiple industries.
The Sales Coordinator will primarily assist the sales team, focusing on managing client communication and orders. The position is responsible for all aspects of customer management, including capture of initial order, building client specifications, scheduling production and delivery, as well as providing customer service through delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the sales team to assess workload and develop sales strategy.
Be first point of contact for client communication and answer inquiries.
Build accurate client specifications for customer orders.
Input timely and accurate data into Syteline.
Responsible for scheduling specific projects into production.
Communicate and coordinate project production with plant supervisors.
Answer customer questions regarding order status and product requests.
Follow up with customers regarding their order status.
Involvement in some lead generation and/or upselling to current client base.
Verify inventory and pull orders per client request.
The successful candidate will have the following key skills:
Understanding of business to business commerce
Grasp of manufacturing terminology, preferably in the metals industry
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot concerns
Excellent phone skills
Maintain a professional demeanor with both clients and coworkers
Diplomacy in client interactions between distributors and end users
Highly organized and task oriented
Efficient with the ability to follow through
Advanced computer skills, especially Office Suite
Ability to prioritize in a busy environment
Ability to focus and produce accurate work
Dependable self-starter
