Sales Associate Job Opening in Newton, Massachusetts - The Lonely Entrepreneur (), a destination for entrepreneurs that helps them turn the struggle into success, is seeking a Sales Associate that will be responsible for license sales of The Lonely Entrepreneur Community and related products and services to organizations including:
Companies: as part of their corporate learning and educational efforts
Entrepreneur Organizations (incubators, accelerators, workspaces): as part of the foundational learning content and platform they provide entrepreneurs
Small Business Resource Centers (small business development centers, SBA): as part of the foundational learning content and platform they provide entrepreneurs
Community Colleges: as educational resources to be used for their workforce development programs
The Lonely Entrepreneur Community
The Lonely Entrepreneur Community is a web-based platform that organizes and addresses the business and personal issues all entrepreneurs face. The Community is centered around a robust online learning platform (with 150 bite-size sections) organized around the issues all entrepreneurs face (Setting Up Your Business, Managing Your Business, Generating Revenue, Differentiating Your Offering, Raising Money, Managing Yourself, Marketing, People, Communicating to Your Team, Leading the Company, Managing Money and Legal.)
The Community combines this easy-to-use learning with:
Community (real-time interactions with fellow entrepreneurs to dialogue with peers and share best practices and resources)
Reminders (daily distribution of perspectives, lessons and tips to keep entrepreneurs focused on the most important things)
Conversations (weekly conversations about life and business with founder Michael Dermer and other members of The Lonely Entrepreneur team)

The Sales Associate will be responsible for developing and closing sales opportunities for The Lonely Entrepreneur Community (and other ancillary products).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet/Exceed sales objectives
Meets and achieves sales measuring metrics
As a consultative sales professional, the Sales Associate is responsible for driving revenue growth and bringing in net new business from prospects.
Sales Associates set appointments with business owners to educate them about TLE?s solutions. They do this by prospecting over the phone, face-to-face, through their networks, and building referral partnerships.
Outside Sales Associates get compensated largely for the business they bring in
Build distribution partnerships in the entrepreneur community
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Demonstrated sales ability, with assertive, positive and persistent style
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Motivated, self-starter with effective time management skills
Ability to work independently, as well as being a collaborative team member
Strong communication and selling skills
Prospecting for and running dynamic sales presentations
Work independently
Problem solving agility
Strong negotiation skills ? quick decision making ability
Strong computer skills, specifically with Outlook, Word and Excel and Salesforce.
