A bit about you:
You have strong financial management experience in fast growth, PE backed companies. Â You have a history of developing finance and accounting infrastructure from the ground up with a particular strength in establishing financial models and reporting capabilities.
You are able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the financial requirements of company that will be engaging in multiple acquisitions and significant de novo activity.
A bit about the role:
Initially reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the financial controller will have responsibility for establishing the finance and accounting infrastructure in this rapid growth, PE-backed, start up.

The financial controller will also partner with the CEO and other executives in the continued development of company's financial and operational KPIs.

Qualifications:
We seek an outstanding and proven financial leader with exceptional functional skills, strong experience in multi-site, multi-state, services companies, and the personal characteristics to best fit the unique challenges, opportunities, and culture of our fast growth company.

Essential Functions:
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
Develop and implement tools and capabilities required by the finance and accounting function.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Recruit key personnel for the finance and accounting function as required.
Additional controller duties as necessary
Requirements:
Proven working experience as a Financial controller
5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Advanced degree in Accounting
CPAÂ or CMA preferred
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Experience working as a controller in a multisite, services oriented, industry.
