Facey Medical Group / Facey Medical Foundation is a premier healthcare team dedicated to providing quality medical services. Facey?s physician services are a mix of primary and specialty care. Ancillary and support services include Laboratory, Radiology, Optometry and Physical Therapy. With 145 providers and serving over 170,000 patients, Facey Medical Group offers a broad scope of multi-specialty services in twelve locations. Offices are located in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, San Gabriel Valleys and Simi Valley. Description: Responsible for daily operations, planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling all functions of the Coding and Auditing & Compliance Departments. Directs, supports, and educates FMG physicians and other professional and support staff to ensure quality and consistency of ICD-9, CPT, and documentation guidelines according to CMS / HCFA regulations and Facey Medical Foundation?s annual Compliance Work Plan. Requirements Bachelor?s degree required. Licensing by the American Academy of Professional Coders or American Health Information Management Association required. RHIA / RHIT required. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a Multi Specialty Medical Group setting. Must demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to communicate/ interface effectively both verbally and written at all levels with internal and external customers. Must possess excellent knowledge of insurances: PPO, EPO, HMO, Indemnity, Worker?s Compensation. Ability to effectively manage coding and insurance reimbursement process. Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook). Type 40-50 wpm, 10-key calculator by sight or touch. Must be able to travel between facilities for meetings.
