PURPOSE:
As a QuintilesIMS Data Analyst, this consulting role is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and evaluating user requirements and convert these requirements into business system and data designs. Assists in the development and implementation of new systems in compliance with organization standards. Maintains documentation on existing and new systems, including enhancements or modifications. Provides follow-up to ensure success of programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analyst role to work within our Core Suite of products and assist the lead with the following tasks:
Define and document data requirements supporting QuintilesIMS Top Tier projects
Interpret and analyze design documents outlining gaps and/or issues assuring coverage of business requirements
Execute regression, stress, black and white box testing
Familiar with SQL programming, XML, UI testing.
Maintain technical documentation
Works with Development and other team members to design and build automated test scripts for validating product software
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience and aptitude in Data Analysis and requirements documentation software in an Agile environment
A self-starter who is motivated to take ownership of projects and tasks through to completion in a remote environment
Knowledge of relational databases and data creation for testing purposes
An understanding of data analysis methodologies, deliverables, processes, strategies, techniques and software development life cycles (SDLCs) is critical.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team oriented environment
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or a related degree, or commensurate experience in lieu of degree
