Industrial Outside Sales Job Opening in Detroit, Michigan - A large Midwest Distributor is currently searching for an energetic and eager individual to fill an Outside Sales Representative position in the Detroit Michigan and surrounding areas. Our Outside Sales Representatives promote Air, Liquid and Gas Filters to Commercial and Industrial accounts in Detroit and surrounding areas. Outside Sales team members are responsible for accomplishing assigned tasks to include:
Nurture and develop ongoing relationships with existing customer base
Prospect/cold call/network to find new business
Submit weekly activity reports and work plans
Work with inside sales team to provide a positive Customer experience
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products and selling strategies
Work with customers to resolve issues by investigating situation and then assisting with developing and implementing solutions
Continually develop product knowledge by attending training and reviewing professional publications
Participate in industry professional societies and networks
Skills Requirements:
Self-Starter with Customer Servicing and Sales Closing skills

Presentation and communication skills
Organized, focused and coach-able
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Computer literate in Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint plus able to work with CRM system
