Bookkeeper/Office Manager Job Opening in Brookline, Massachusetts - company is looking for a Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and office duties. Must be Quicken/QuickBooks proficient, very meticulous to detail and highly organized.
The candidate must have at least 3 years in small business bookkeeping in a construction company environment. General office and clerical duties will be part of the responsibilities of the position.
Bookkeeping responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You will also utilize accounting software programs including Quicken, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to process business transactions, manage accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.
Responsibilities:
Able to multi-task
Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
Prepare client invoices
Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
Monthly reconciliation of accounts in a timely manner
Entry of key data of financial transactions in database
Prepare cost reports for projects
Requirements:
Proven accounting experience
Competency in Quicken, QuickBooks; Microsoft Office and Excel
Experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Well organized with willingness to perform filing and record keeping tasks
Data entry and word processing skills
Minimum Associates Degree in accounting
Minimum 3 years construction company experience
Salary: Salary is negotiable and dependent upon experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year
