This is your opportunity to work for Connecticut Valley Homes, a custom modular home builder based in East Lyme, CT. We have built almost 1600 unique homes in CT, RI Fishers Island and Block Island. We believe in delivering exceptional customer service and high quality homes.
We are looking for a Home Building Consultant based in our Fairfield Design Studio to service FAIRFIELD COUNTY and the surrounding Connecticut area. The right candidate will have above average construction knowledge and the ability to guide our customers through the process of building their custom dream home.
The ideal candidate is a former builder who can sell and has modular experience.
To be successful in the role you will need to have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to actively listen and empathize, and a creative approach to solving problems. Computer skills and CRM experience are required.
Much of our business is built on referrals/repeat customers. We do not ?cold call? potential customers. We guide people who are already interested in building a custom home and who have contacted us to learn more about our services. Customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal . Requirements
Ambition, drive and a strong desire to help people are key requirements for this position. The right individual will be customer focused and personable with excellent email and phone skills. Great listening skills and a keen sense of time management and planning are required.
Must be a trainable, outgoing, self starter, interested in education with an entrepreneurial spirit, integrity, a strong work ethic and the following experience:
Sales Contact management database experience
Ability to work independently, sometimes with little direction
Able to prioritize and focus on the ?one thing? that will move business forward while managing multiple clients simultaneously
Able to meet scheduling demands and travel to job sites to meet with customers, trades or building officials as needed
Must have good oral and written skills
To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong desire to help people and have elevated knowledge and experience in home design and the construction process. You will work in a collaborative environment where you will be responsible for the following:
Selling custom modular homes to be delivered and set on the customer?s foundation
Reviewing and modifying customer plans to suit their desired lifestyle and budget
Working with our in-house design and drafting team, accurately relaying customer changes
Presenting all blueprints and collecting customer feedback
Presenting and discussing price changes
Preparing and presenting customer paperwork (drafting form, lot inspections, deposit, engineering, release documents, etc.)
Local networking with professionals and trades / grass roots marketing
Facilitating the build process (permits, local engineers / site surveyors/local trades) as needed
Daily responsibilities include the following:
Manage customer expectations and timelines
Open and close Design Studio
Maintain equipment and supplies and general maintenance, keeping design studio clean and presentable at all times
Managing sales leads and pipeline
Active and accurate use of CRM on a daily basis
Site visits and inspections as required
