Accountant Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Prepares, processes and maintains accounting records for the Company which may include general accounting, costing, or budget data. Reviews and reconciles accounts to ensure accurate financial reports. Examines and interprets accounting records for the purpose of giving advice or preparing statements. Executes monthly closing procedures. This is a full time position and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities Records and reconciles financial data, generates and distributes financial reports. Identifies and corrects system errors and account imbalances. Provides assistance with cash reconciliation, general ledger and day-to-day booking. Assists in the preparation and completion of audits and tax filings. Performs other related financial duties as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business Administration, Accounting, and/or Finance from an accredited college or university. Previous experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
Previous experience in the healthcare/Long Term Care industry a plus Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and QuickBooks
