Responsibilities
Responsible for counter sales; assisting in product sales for contractors and home owners determining customer requirements in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
Generate pick tickets and prepare orders for either pick up or delivery coordinating with scheduler then billing orders.
Assist in answering of phones and taking orders via phone as they are placed.
Confirm any unbilled orders that have not been delivered or picked up and coordinate pick up or delivery time.
Assist the Outside Sales team with job quotes.
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of deliveries by evaluating job site conditions to determine best fit vehicle and crew to perform delivery.
Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items and obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.
Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
Contact customer following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and help resolve any complaints.
Qualifications
Knowledge of building supply
Minimum two years in similar position
High level of experience and familiarity in internet based computer operating systems.
Technical expertise and familiarity of company products
Associates? or four year degree preferred
Wholesale distribution experienced preferred
Problem-solving and analytical ability
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively by adapting quickly to changing priorities
