Outside Sales Representative Job Opening in Houston, Texas - The Outside Sales Representative position will be responsible for the successful growth of an assigned territory by properly servicing current customers and actively pursuing new customers.
Sales Representative Job Duties:
Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
Responsible to schedule, prepare and perform product knowledge and new product induction sessions
Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of each customer
Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly call reports and monthly and annual territory analysis
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc
Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
Will need to be a valuable resource to the customer which includes full knowledge of all product details and company processes
Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Must demonstrate professionalism at all times
