Controller Job Opening in Lake Mary, Florida - Comptroller - CPA I. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the CEO, the Comptroller manages and reports the results of the financial operation for our automobile finance company.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains the Company?s accounting records in accordance with legal, regulatory and generally accepted accounting principles.
Manages and Maintains relationships so that we have sufficient resources for its current and future business levels.
Manages and coordinates preparation of Federal, State and local company tax returns.
Assist in the evaluation of Company?s employee benefit plans.
Coordinates company liability insurance coverages.
Understands and communicates metrics and implements specific programs to improve financial performance for the Company.
Supervises the upgrade of accounting related systems and procedures to improve operational efficiencies while maintaining or improving service.
Provides timely financial reports including monthly statements, performance metrics and other requested financial information to be used by management.
Responsible for the development of the budget consistent with the strategic plan and overall company objectives.
Provides projections for financial condition and performance under various scenarios in order to assist management in decision making. Prepares accurate and timely financial reporting for executive management and third parties, as needed. Prepares annual budgets.
Conducts financial analysis of operations to maximize profits. Prepares recommendations with regard to actions needed.
Establishes and maintains internal controls, policies and procedures. Stays current on regulatory and legislative changes that may affect the company.
Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws.
Manages banking licenses.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Finance/Accounting and CPA is a plus.
Expert knowledge of financial statement preparation and cash management.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Maintain a team-oriented environment.
Adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment.
Exhibit excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Display excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform a number of complex tasks simultaneously and delegate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external personnel.
