Currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant "PTA" to join our Outpatient team.
Essential Duties include:
Provides physical therapy interventions; provides patient and family teaching
Works cooperatively with other patient care teams in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practices and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Licenses / Certifications:
Current Licensure as Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Louisiana. Current Basic Life Support.
Experience:
One year of experience in the care of patients in an acute or outpatient hospital setting is preferred.
Key Performance Functions:
Implements education plan as outlined by the evaluating therapist, determines additional educational needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant other as they arise and in collaboration with the evaluating therapist provides education to meet those needs.
Follows plan for discharge and discusses with evaluating therapist any additional discharge concerns, which arise during care.
Communicates with patient, family, caregivers, significant others and members of the healthcare team to promote maximum benefit of care.
