Murphy and Company is seeking a Tax & Accounting Manager who is responsible for and takes ownership for all aspects of the firms client services operations including managing and developing a team of Accounting and Tax professionals to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction and service, while meeting and exceeding utilization goals to help grow a successful business.

The Tax & Accounting Manager in our New Haven County CT (Shoreline) office will have strong knowledge and experience in individual, corporate, partnership and trust accounting and tax preparation as well as proven management abilities in a public accounting firm . They will have strong leadership skills to lead, review and mentor team members in this collaborative culture.
The ideal candidate is a business-focused finance professional with proven leadership experience and entrepreneurial drive. This individual has confidence, high-energy, positivity, a sense of humor and provides exceptional service as a trusted advisor to key clients to help grow this highly productive practice.
Required experience :
B.S. and Master degree in finance and or accounting
Current CPA designation required
Minimum 5-7 years? experience in public accounting and tax
Minimum 3-5 years managing a team of accounting and tax professionals
Experience with accounting, tax and research software. Thompson Reuters, CCH, and Intuit Software a plus
