Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Job Description:
An IT support specialist addressing various end-users IT requests. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of PCs/Servers/LAN/WAN equipment.
Role and Responsibilities:
Technical Support
Provides end-user IT/helpdesk support. Install tools and applications.
Fixing IT equipment including printers, scanners, screens and headsets.
Applying systems? updates, patches and configuration changes.
Performs troubleshooting and resolution to address various network related issues on the network.
Experience with installing, testing and troubleshooting cabling infrastructure (Passive LAN)
Experience installing Switches and Routers.
Experience using, installing and troubleshooting SIP extensions, SIP trunks and Softphones clients (Preferred).
Command Center Support (NOC)
Provides after hours and weekend on-call support as needed.
Follow daily testing protocols.
Monitor Capacity utilization for IT resources (HW and bandwidth) (Preferred)
Analyze different systems logs and identify potential issues.
Monitors the Network Monitoring System and responds to and addresses system generated alerts as needed.
Escalate critical cases immediately to the Main site?s Command Center and 2nd and 3rd level support.
Escalate and follow up cases with sites? providers (VoIP, Internet, HW, etc.)
Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)
Demonstrate knowledge in the support of servers, workstations, and related components.
Core understanding of networking (IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
Experience with Windows and Linux OS.
Expert in the following applications: MS-Office, MS-Outlook
