Full Time Site Safety Inspector Job Opening in Bel Air, Maryland - Responsibilities
Site Safety Inspector enforces and monitors adherence to health and safety policies, procedures and legislation, ensuring all safety credentials are maintained, and acting as a resource for all safety related requirements, including auditing, inspections and accident investigations as needed.
Ensure all employees and contractors are working safe and all documentation is occurring.
Investigate all accidents.
Monitors the work of contractors.
Immediately report all unsafe acts or conditions and make sure corrective action is taken.
Requires travel to different job sites.
Provide written report of field inspections to superintendents.
Follow up with all job superintendents to ensure corrective actions are being maintained.
Ensure all job sites are in OSHA compliance.
Assure all safety files and logs are maintained and up to date.
Conduct Safety Training classes as needed.
Observes and visually inspects materials, equipment and supplies at all job sites.
Photograph all job sites.
Make sure that all photos and reports are turned into Diversified Safety office and report writer the same day as audit is performed.
Make sure all material for training courses taught are completed in their entirety. This includes training cards and is required in order to receive commission.
Diversified Safety Services will supply a car for business travel and a cell phone for business purposes, employee will be responsible for maintaining any equipment that Diversified Safety provides and returning it in the same condition it was received.
Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
Cover at long term job sites as safety manager when requested by upper management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Knowledgeable in safety standards including hazard recognition, job hazard analysis, training, and extensive knowledge with OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards. Certifications in Health and Safety disciplines. Must have OSHA 500 & 510 certifications.
