Desktop Support Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Desktop Support my client is seeking a desktop support analyst for a contract to hire position in downtown chicago, il. for immediate consideration, please email a copy of your resume to job duties and requirements: ? provides technical support to the organization's on-site and off-site users of computer applications and hardware (e.g., pcs, servers, network). ? provides end-user software troubleshooting and support. ? coordinates and leads the installation, configuration, and upgrade of computer hardware and software. ? provides end-user software troubleshooting and support. ? ensures the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards ? track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases ? uses advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions. ? communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters ? maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities ? provides guidance and supervision to lower level technicians qualifications: ? bachelor's degree in computer science or technical degree preferred ? 2-4 years related experience ? ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals ? maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. ? provide remote desktop support and answer phones ? some shift work or after-hours may be required
