Position: Property Manager
Supervisor: Director of Property Management
Worksite: Lyndonville, Vermont
Classification: Full Time, Exempt
Job Overview: The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative, day-to-day operations, financial, leasing/rental and maintenance of affordable housing units within their portfolio. The Property Manager provides direction and support to the team to manage a portfolio of rural affordable housing. This position will benefit someone who welcomes responsibility and enjoys multi-tasking in a fast paced environment. The ability to be flexible and work in a team environment is a must.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work in a team environment with limited supervision. Ability to multi-task, and balance priorities incorporating day-to-day and long term goals. This position requires professional conduct at all times.
Written and oral communication skills are essential to be successful in this position. The ability to work with a diverse group of people to perform tasks, schedule projects and to meet company goals.
Comply with all company directives on personnel, accounting, purchasing and maintenance.
Direct responsibilities for vacancy and financial performance of the portfolio. Includes ensuring staff is focused on performance goals and overall company goals.
Ensure all affordable housing program requirements and applicable HUD, RD, LIHTC, and State agencies regulations are monitored regularly and are in full compliance, including wait list, leases, correspondence etc. Ensures that all supervised staff is familiar with requirements and understands them.
Provides leadership, support and directions to staff performing all functions of property management. Encompasses duties from potential applicant, lease up, and maintenance through the move out process.
Participate in assigned activities in support of Rural Edge & Property Management Division?s mission and goals.

Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience in property management or related field preferred.
Working knowledge of regulations pertaining to affordable housing. HOME, USDA RD, VHCB, HUD, preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and detailed work habits
Computer knowledge and comfort, including MS Word, Excel
Ability to work cooperatively, effectively, and efficiently with a diverse group of people in a team environment.
Willingness to travel for training opportunities
Possession of a valid driver?s license, a good driving record, and automobile insurance per State of Vermont.
