Medical Practice Manager Job Opening in Tacoma, Washington - GENERAL FUNCTION : Responsible for the daily operation of PTHA medical clinic, to ensure efficient and professional healthcare service delivery. Supervise a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Plan, monitor, and execute staffing requirements for a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals including; recruitment, retention, training, management, motivation, supervision, conducting annual and post-introductory performance evaluations, implementation of training plans and disciplinary actions.
Coordinate and/or integrate health initiatives into clinical practice.
Review professional staff caseload management and provide consultation to Registered Nurses and Nutritionists monthly and as needed (LPNs, etc)
Responsible for Employee Health program and coordinate initiatives as needed.
Assist in managing, tracking and resolving clinical complaints within 3 business days.
Responsible for PTHA Infection Control program including but not limited to implementation of program policies and procedures and reporting as required.
Assist with accreditation activities specific to medical services.
In collaboration lead and document patient education team meetings at least monthly.
Work with Assistant Clinical Director with the annual budget process including but not limited to: gathering and analyzing information and preparing draft budgets assuring fiscal responsibility and appropriate utilization of resources.
Collaborate with, train and educate clinical providers on integrating specialty programs into clinical practice. (i.e. group visits, screening, referral, education).
Responsible for coordination with Tribal programs to ensure quality care to Tribal Members.
Coordinate nursing care at off-site locations as required.
Participate in operational committees as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ): Master?s in Public Health or related field required. Five (5) years? experience in healthcare or social services environment, and a minimum of three (3) years? experience directly supervising five or more employees. Experience or ability to work with electronic health record systems.
