Position Overview
The Sales Associate has the primary responsibility of offering outstanding customer service through direct selling, demonstrating product knowledge and building quality customer relationships that result in increased sales and repeat business. In addition to assisting customers, associates in this role help to ensure that the store is visually appealing by performing merchandising, visual and housekeeping functions. Sales Associates create an environment where customers experience our unique culture on every visit and are active and willing participants in working towards and achieving team goals.
Responsibilities
Being a brand ambassador who is aligned and committed to dressbarn?s vision and strategies * Assist with store operations objectives to maximize sales * Assist in implementing visual standards and directives * Encouraging and sharing faster, better and more efficient business ideas * Participate in networking and recruiting passionate associates, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and achieving personal sales excellence
Qualifications
Previous experience in specialty retail preferred * Strong selling abilities and the ability to build customer relationships * Team player * Goal orientated * Ability to work in a fast paced environment * Proficient computer skills * Availability to work day, evening and weekend hours
Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate with associates and guests * Ability to stand, walk, reach for up to 4 hours or longer as necessary * Able to lift or move a minimum of 15 pounds * Ability to access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area * Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store, including but not limited to, back office computer, POS register system, scanner * Ability to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends and holidays
