Business Office Administrator Job Opening in Shakopee, Minnesota - An engineering company based in Shakopee is seeking a Business Office Administrator to provide a variety of bookkeeping and general office services including the management and maintenance of various order processing tasks, receptionist duties and responses to customer and vendor requests.
We require High School graduate (preferably AA Accounting degree) with 1-2 years prior order entry / customer service experience in a busy office environment. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated administrative and general office skills; be organized and detailed oriented; able to maintain records and files; able to check and monitor own work; and have computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), database management and Internet use. Knowledge of QuickBooks would be an asset.
This position is planned for approximately 15-20 hours per week with four to five days a week preferred. This position is not suited for telecommuting. We offer a competitive salary.
Summary:
The Administrator position will work with our Business Office Manager to ensure all business office responsibilities are addressed in a timely manner. Each will back-up the other as skills permit.
Responsibilities:
Enter new orders into system and set up job files
Check account balances for customers and call on past due accounts as necessary
Process request from vendors, customers and government entities
Assist Sales team in qualifying new leads and other pre-sales activities
Perform general receptionist duties and responsibilities
Back-up Business Office Manager as needed
Additional responsibilities as skills allow
Requirements:
Must have a High school diploma or GED with additional office experience
Order entry and accounting skills
Computer knowledge of MS Office and order processing/database systems
QuickBooks experience preferred
Energetic personality, exceptional organizational skills, and professional demeanor
Willing to bring personal experiences to improve productivity and enrich job tasks
For the right individual, this role may grow as skills and knowledge increase. The individual will be exposed to full-charge accounting and human resource responsibilities.
